LAdy Heat 2 from 2 Men 1-1

Mildura’s Lady Heat had a good win over Chelsea Gulls in their Big V road trip on Saturday night.

After being contained the previous week, Power was dominating and finished the match with 30 points while import player Alexis Gassion scored 22 points with 12 rebounds.

Georgia Mayne shot eight points with the Lady Heat winning comfortably 84 to 64.

In the Men’s game against Pakenham Warriors the Heat virtually led for three quarters before the home side had a massive last quarter to win by four, 72 to 68.

The Heat did not have the services of Calvin Henry, who was ruled out of playing the road trip on medical grounds.

Brent Symons was terrific with 16 points and 15 rebounds while Stevie Bowden stepped up when given an important role to end the game with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Dallas Brown was contained and shot only nine points while Alex Newstead shot eight points.

On Sunday the Heat held on to beat Melton Thoroughbreds 96 to 94 in a high scoring game. Melton had a three point jump shot on the final buzzer but it missed and the Heat had won.

Symons was again terrific with 24 points, while Dallas Brown shot 18, Jay Madigan 14 and Benson Steer 7. For Melton Dexter Graham dominated with 31 points and 17 rebounds.

 

Yesterday the Men team beat Melton by two Points  Brent Symons haveing a great weekend 24 Points and 3 rebounds as well Mean by the Lady heat  Beat West port By 42 Points No Scores were free hope to have them soon
