The powerful Mildura thirds team dominated the second quarter of the preliminary final against Robinvale- Euston on Saturday.
In the second quarter Mildura kicked 4.8 leaving their opponents down by 31 points at half time – a position from which the Eagles never recovered.
Following his four goals the previous week, Caiden Deckert booted six goals against the Eagles in a match winning display.
Sam Simmons was terrific for the Demons but will be missing for the Grand Final as he is regarded as a senior player, leaving him ineligible for Thirds next week because the seniors bowed out with a loss to Red Cliffs.
