Bambill centre half forard Luke Stanbrook has won the McDonald Medal for the best and fairest player in the Millewa Football league this season.
Stanbrook, who won the league goal kicking award for the season and was named centre half forward in the Millewa Team of the Year, polled 18 votes to win the medal by two votes from Nangiloc’s Luke Weaver with Werrimull’s Scottie Clark in a tie for third place with Gol Gol’s coach Sam Cuuran.
In the A Grade Netball Gol Gol centre Katrina Sobkowiack won her fourth Dot Wilson Trophy best and fairest with a massive 33 votes, winning by 12 votes from Cardross player Leisha Morrison.
AFL representative Trevor Ryan presented the coaches award to Sam Curran, who coached for the first time this year at Gol Gol after departing from Irymple in the SFL at the end of last season. Matt McGinty of Meringur was named Best Defender.
